We collect only what's necessary to make the app work:

• Email address and password (for your account)
• Display name, username, age, and pronouns (set by you)
• Profile photos (uploaded by you)
• Your chosen tube station (not your precise GPS location)
• Availability hours you set manually
• Messages and blips sent between users
• Referral code used to join
• Device push notification token (for message alerts)

// HOW WE USE IT

Your data is used solely to operate the app:

• Showing your availability on the map to other users
• Enabling messaging between matched users
• Sending push notifications when you receive messages or blips
• Verifying referral codes for access
• Responding to reports and keeping the community safe

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except where required to operate the service (see below).

// THIRD PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services to run the app:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Firebase (Google) — push notifications delivery
• Vercel — web hosting
• Resend — transactional email for admin alerts

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

// PHOTOS

Profile photos you upload are stored securely and displayed publicly to other users of the app. Do not upload photos you do not have the right to use. You can delete your photos at any time from your profile settings.

// MESSAGES

Messages between users are stored in our database. Messages older than 24 hours are automatically deleted. Messages from admin accounts are exempt from this deletion and may be retained for moderation purposes.

We may review messages if a report is submitted about them.

// YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time via your device settings

// DATA RETENTION

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal reasons.

TheWeb is a referral-only platform. We reserve the right to remove users who violate our community standards, including harassment, impersonation, or sending unsolicited explicit content. Reports submitted by users may be reviewed by our team.

// CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
